Frequently Asked Questions

Need A Little More Magic?

How does Fabled Press Bindery work?

I’m an independent UK-based bookbinder and every product I sell is handmade in small batches.

When you preorder a rebind, I purchase a full-price copy of the book from an author-approved retailer, then rebind and customise it using my own materials and exclusive artwork.

Custom touches may include faux-leather covers, sprayed edges, and custom endpapers, all printed in-house.

Every book is made with care and attention, and no two are ever exactly the same.

Where do you source your books?

All books used for my rebinds are purchased at full price from official, author-approved bookstores or online retailers.

I don’t alter, reproduce, or redistribute the text in any way. I simply rebind books I’ve already purchased under the First Sale Doctrine.

Every rebind still means a full-price sale for the author, always.

Where does the artwork come from?

All artwork is commissioned from human artists and exclusively licensed for Fabled Press LTD use.

Artists are always mentioned in the product titles and linked on my social media.

There is no use of AI.

What happens if my book arrives damaged?

You are in safe hands when ordering from Fabled Press. I would never leave you with a damaged copy, whether it was caused during delivery or by a rare defect.

Every edition is handmade, so on very rare occasions things can go wrong. However, I hold myself to an incredibly high standard and never ship a rebind I wouldn’t proudly display myself.

If you have any concerns, please email a photo to fabledpresscontact@gmail.com and I’ll help resolve it. This may mean a replacement, amendment, or, where more appropriate, a partial or full refund upon return.

Can I send in my own book for a discount?

Sometimes! Depending on how busy I am, I can occasionally accept customer-supplied books.

If you’re interested, feel free to reach out and we can chat about availability.

Are you open to trades?

Absolutely. I’m a book lover first and foremost.

I’m always happy to look at trade offers via live chat, email, or Instagram DMs.

I’m an author — can we collaborate?

I’d love that!

Please submit all collaboration enquiries through the contact form on my website so I can keep everything organised.
